Fallout 3 was a great fantasy-SF-apocalyptic RPG game, with excellent stories and great gameplay. New Vegas is rather a military FPS which relates very little to the original Fallout atmosphere, lore and identity. New Vegas is also ugly, almost amateurish, and feels like a fan MOD. Why so much praise for it?! I guess it comes from gamers who don't really know/understand what the Fallout franchise is actually about.

... mediocre on consoles 20 years ago. It's expensive and exactly the same game twenty years later (though displaying all right in 16:9). In three months, you'll get it for 0.99 in a discount sale. Only mice will buy it. Oh, and also: how does it relate to the RPG Baldur's Gate franchise? As much as you relate to a wheelbarrow full of mice. Conclusion: If you are a professional sucker, buy it immediately full price! Or you'll lose your sucker license.
